Boaties win both ways with new vessel maintenance and insurance package

Boatsmart HQ, Australasia's fast-growing advanced vessel management service, is launching a crucial upgrade to its highly regarded programmes. From July 1, Boatsmart HQ will provide its clients with an innovative solution incorporating state-of-the-art, advanced vessel management services combined with marine insurance tailored for boaties’ specific requirements.

Jeff Taylor founder of Boatsmart HQ with marinas insurance specialist Paul Gemmell from Crombie Lockwood

The Advanced Preventative Maintenance package was developed in partnership with leading New Zealand insurance brokers Crombie Lockwood.

Paul Gemmell, Crombie Lockwood’s Marine Division Manager, said the vessel management service’s regular maintenance programme means potential issues and risks are generally picked up quickly.

“Due to the vigilance of the BoatSmartHQ team, the vessels they manage often show a reduction in the number and size of insurance claims. Our underwriters value this focus on preventative maintenance as keeping vessels well serviced and out of harm’s way when not out on the water reduces the overall level of risk for them”.

The new package will be available for marina and dry-stacked vessels up to $10 million in value.
