NZMOA invites all full marine and boatyard members and staff to apply for funding for upcoming training opportunities.
Apply here
Applications will be considered as they are received, at NZMOA Executive meetings. We recommend applying at least six weeks prior to the date funds are required.
Terms & Conditions
Please make sure you understand our conditions before you apply.
Funds must be used within twelve months, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Secretary.
Applicants will need to provide, on request, evidence of all likely costs associated with the application (ie formal quotes, screen grabs from websites), and invoices or receipts on completion of their training as part of a formal audit process conducted by NZMOA that will be conducted towards the end of each financial year and published in the annual report.
If the training provider is GMI, MIA, AMI or MAST then NZMOA would prefer to pay the provider directly.
To promote the grant programme to future recipients a 100 word report about your experience, with photos if possible is appreciated
If time off work is required for the study, applicants should ensure that they have permission from their employer.
All applications will be confidential.
All recipients will agree for their name, business/employer name, and details of the training to be published by NZMOA and in relevant industry media, social media and in the NZMOA newsletter and website.
It is expected that recipients have the intention to stay working within the marina and boatyard industry for at least twelve months. A proportion of costs may be claimed back if the recipient leaves the industry. This is expected to be 75% if you leave within 3 months of the funds being paid, 50% within 6 months and 25% within 12 months.
All decisions made by the Executive will be final.
