AMM course a hit for NZMOA grant recipient

NZMOA was delighted to support Bayswater Marina Manager Kim Passmore to attend the Advanced Marina Manager (AMM) course in August this year.

Kim was a recipient of a NZMOA Training Grant in 2022, and reserved her space to complete the AMM in the Gold Coast with colleagues from around Australasia. The course is delivered by the Marina Industries Association.

She says: “The AMM course provided valuable insights into upgrading marina facilities, including new design ideas, innovative construction methods, and materials, as well as how to budget effectively for major projects.”

She enjoyed the breadth of the subject matter as it also covered important areas such as customer experience, marketing, insurance, law, and sustainability.

“Overall, I walked away with a comprehensive set of tools to better understand our business and enhance our facility moving forward.”

NZMOA Training Grants are delivered with support from the association’s family of sponsors and designed to support development and improvement at all levels of the industry.
