Marinaquip Docking Wheel Dome: another home-grown product from a NZMOA Associate Member

An NZMOA silver sponsor promotion: It’s fantastic to see products for the marina industry developed and manufactured here in New Zealand. Marinaquip was a winner in the 2022 NZMOA Marina of the Year Awards for its multi-piece pile ring. And now it has introduced yet another product for marina operators and their customers. Read on to find out about it.

Marinaquip’s Docking Wheel Dome is a unique rolling fender designed to assist vessel operators with docking manoeuvres.

It is made from indestructible POE and is the result of three years of research and development with top New Zealand engineers.

“We are proud to unveil our latest innovation for yachtsmen and mariners when manoeuvring their most prized possessions,” says Marinaquip founder Tony Truman.

“Unlike other market offerings, our dome shaped “re-invention of the wheel” is designed to cope with impact from all directions and can sustain a remarkable four tonnes of pressure.”

The Docking Wheel Dome features a new recessed fastener kit. The new top plate is hidden within the puncture-proof domed wheel which prevents any marking or damage to the vessel if impact may occur.

“Due to the immense strength of the compression-moulded dome, it enables the yachtsman or yachtswoman

to dock their vessel with confidence and ease knowing that they will not experience chafing against the side of the dock or pontoons.”

Docking wheel Domes are fully manufactured in New Zealand and are available for replacement on existing Marinaquip Stainless Steel Straight or Corner Brackets or can be purchased with a completely new kit. Patent pending.

Marinaquip is offering a very special introductory price for the first three months of $599.00 per unit including GST. For just the wheel itself, they will offer the price of $325.00 per unit excluding GST.
