Great start to 2022 for Silver Sponsor Shorewise
Shorewise has started off the year with an impressive array of marina and marine projects, including new marinas, marina refurbishment, seawalls, reclamations, wharves, a travellift, boardwalk and a number of private pontoons and jetties.
“The recent Tonga Tsunami event has seen us engaged to assist Tutukaka Marina with their damage assessment and the design of the replacement components, the Tsunami has also prompted a number of new and existing clients to seek our advice and assistance regarding the resilience of their assets to cope with any future events,” says Rob Brown.
“We have recently completed two projects in the Far North for the team at Far North Holdings. The first project we completed was three wharves on the Hokianga Harbour - timber wharves at Mangungu and TeKaraka and a 150m long full precast concrete wharf at Rangi Point, all with pontoons. We are now in the final design stages for another partial wharf replacement at Omapere.”
Another completed project is Pukenui wharf on the Houhora Harbour comprising of a replacement concrete commercial wharf, seawall replacement and a new pontoon suitable for commercial vessels. We are now completing a full upgrade of the boat ramp, carpark and stormwater system for the site.
“Shorewise were engaged from the concept phase of both projects and provided the consenting documents, site investigations, geotechnical testing, detailed design, contracts and tendering management as well as full construction management. Apart from lockdown delays both projects were completed on time and budget, the client and communities are all very happy with the delivered outcomes.”
