Announcement: New opportunities from fund for New Zealand marina industry training
The New Zealand Marina Operators Association is pleased to announce a new Training Fund designed to support the industry’s growth and future development.
Made possible by the association’s family of sponsors, the fund is designed to grow skills and make new opportunities available in training and education across all aspects of marina and boatyard operations.
Applicants can apply for study in a range of relevant fields. This can be any field that is relevant to your role in your marina or boatyard operation. For example, it can include marina industry qualifications such as IMM, AMM or even an MBA. Business skills and qualifications. Marketing courses, customer services courses, health and safety training, marine biosecurity or environmental training.
“Investment in training and development is critical to the industry’s future, as we tackle new challenges, and continue to prove our worth and value in the maritime environment,” says NZMOA Chair Chris Galbraith.
The NZMOA Training Fund is made possible by a new sponsorship program that was successfully subscribed for the first time this year. Gold sponsors of NZMOA are Dixon Stainless, Crombie Lockwood, Boatsmart HQ, Heron Group, Bellingham Marine and Gofuel.
“The support that these businesses have so generously agreed to provide the marina and boatyard industries is making new programmes of work, like this one, available,” says Chris Galbraith.
