Thinking outside the blocks: Superior Modular Dock

The Superior Modular Dock (SMD) system is manufactured in Australia with local products by the rotational moulding of polyethylene and allows the production of modular pieces that are tough, flexible, UV stabilised and do not deteriorate in a marine environment.  The modules can withstand heavy conditions and tough treatment, making them ideal for public use applications including marinas, helipads, floating platforms, swimming platforms, settlement ponds, aquaculture and ramps for boat launching and retrieval.

The SMD sets a new benchmark in modular docks as it has the thickest wall sections on the market at 8 to 10mm.  It also has in-built slip resistant decking.  SMD delivers enhanced stability due to larger than average elements that require fewer joints. A variety of sizes (3m x 2m, 3m x 1.5m, 3m x 1m, 1.5m x 1.5m, 1.5m x 1m and 1m x 0.5m) is offered to create customised shapes.

The SMD product is also used to manufacture the innovative Superior D-Series Boatlifts and Jet Ski Docks (JSD). The Superior JSD is stylish, simple and extremely practical.

The standalone dock with no moving parts can be linked together to form a continuous dock for commercial use and is also widely used for domestic applications.  Adding one or more boatlifts to a marina simplifies boating and reduces the hassle of trailer movements and storage.  The floating docks sink into the water to allow for drive on access, then at the push of the button, float up, lifting the vessel out of the water. The modular docks lift and lower with ease, allow for solo operation and offer complete walk around access.

The modules are easily demountable and moveable, without the need for special tooling, are container friendly for shipment worldwide and are equipped with forklift fork recesses for easy loading and storage.
